Associate Refrigeration Inc. (ARI) was incorporated in 1976 by then owner Henry Wilson. From 1976 to 1990, ARI was simply an appliance parts and HVAC distributor. In 1990, Bernie Donnelly purchased the 1 location distributor from Henry Wilson.

In the 1960’s, Bernie worked at a Philadelphia refrigeration wholesaler for 7 years. With his strong refrigeration background, he worked at Alco Controls (a manufacturer of refrigeration valves, controls, and driers) as a salesman and District Sales Manager for 22 years. Always wanting to own his own air conditioning & refrigeration wholesale house, Bernie purchased ARI in 1990.

Since 1990, ARI has evolved into a full-service air conditioning, heating & refrigeration wholesale house with 3 locations and has become the Authorized Distributor for Tappan, Tecumseh, Gibson, Fujitsu, Heatcraft/Climate Control, Alco Controls, A-1 Remanufactured Compressors, Skuttle, Honeywell, Ranco, Johnson Controls and White-Rodgers, just to name a few.

ARI has continued to grow from the first day Bernie Donnelly purchased the company because of one simple philosophy: The customer’s best interest is our first priority. We are not as concerned with an individual sale as we are with an individual customer.
